Our oak firewood is responsibly sourced, kiln dried to a moisture content of less than 20% and certified Ready to Burn – a recognised mark of quality assurance and compliance in the UK. The low moisture content allows the logs to burn cleanly and efficiently, providing excellent heat output with reduced smoke and ash. Each oak log is approximately 25cm in length with a diameter ranging from 6 to 16cm. As firewood is a natural product, individual log sizes may vary slightly.
Our full crates measure approximately 1.2m x 1.14m x 1.08m and contain the equivalent of 2m³ of loose logs.*
Why Choose Oak Firewood?
Oak is one of the most popular premium hardwoods for firewood in the UK. Its high density means it burns more slowly than many other types of wood, providing a long-lasting and steady source of heat. Once established, an oak fire produces strong, consistent heat and long-lasting embers, making it an excellent choice for extended burning periods. Because of its dense structure, oak can take slightly longer to ignite than lighter hardwoods such as birch. For easier fire starting, it can be used with kindling or faster-lighting logs before adding larger oak logs to maintain the heat.
Ready to Burn Certified
Our kiln dried oak logs are certified under the Woodsure Ready to Burn scheme. With a moisture content of less than 20%, the logs are ready for immediate use and designed to burn efficiently with reduced smoke. Kiln drying removes excess moisture from the timber, helping the logs produce more usable heat compared with wetter, unseasoned firewood.

Long-Lasting Heat for Your Home
Kiln dried oak logs are an excellent choice for wood-burning stoves, fireplaces and other suitable wood-burning appliances.
Oak’s dense hardwood structure provides a slower, longer-lasting burn with consistent heat output, making it particularly suitable when you want to maintain warmth for extended periods without adding logs as frequently.
Clean and Efficient Burning
With a moisture content below 20%, our kiln dried oak logs are prepared for efficient combustion. Properly dried firewood helps your appliance reach a good operating temperature while reducing the amount of smoke produced compared with wetter timber. For the best results, always burn oak logs in a suitable, correctly maintained appliance and store your firewood in a dry, well-ventilated location.
Convenient Crate Delivery
The oak logs are neatly stacked in a sturdy wooden crate, providing a substantial supply of Ready to Burn firewood in a convenient format.
Once delivered, the logs can be kept organised and stored in a dry, ventilated area until required.
*Loose volume refers to the approximate volume the logs would occupy if removed from the crate and loosely tipped.
